The Goddess Aphrodite is alive in Cyprus, present in the mountains, waters, and stories of the land. She is fiercely powerful and loving, her mysteries deep. The land is a living expression of her frequency: layered hills and deep‑hued sunsets, a clear blue sea and galaxy‑rich night sky, scents of jasmine, bergamot, and myrtle evoke Aphrodite’s beauty, abundance, and embodied sensuality, amplifying every one of the senses.

Journey to the mythical Land of the Goddess this coming November to experience the archetypal frequency of the Great Goddess through ritual, myth, embodied ceremony, nature-immersed practices, and the beauty of feminine togetherness.

In Cyprus the Great Goddess evolved over 5,000 years from a Neolithic fertility protector into the world‑renowned Aphrodite; Hesiod, in the Theogony, describes her arising from sea‑foam and coming to Cyprus. The island was a bridge of deities between the Levant and the Aegean, absorbing sexual power, martial ferocity, and protective sovereignty from figures such as Inanna, Ishtar, and Astarte while retaining non-figurative practices like the veneration of baetyl stones, often thought to be meteorites.

Cypris, the island’s ancient, place‑rooted form of the Great Goddess, embodies these traditions: aniconic stones, local rites, and an emphasis on fertility and territorial protection. On this pilgrimage we engage the living Cypriot current, its embodied, land‑based presence and ritual intelligence, while honoring the poetic and archetypal dimensions of the later Aphrodite.

The Many Names of Aphrodite

Across Cyprus, Aphrodite is never only one thing. She appears as an ancient power carried across seas, as the Goddess of the city and the sanctuary, as the one who rises from the waters, the wild woman of the peninsula, and the presence who guides us back into the living body.

This retreat follows her many names and faces. Moving from archaeology and myth into nature, ritual, movement and shared reflection, we travel not only across the island but through an inner landscape: from origins and descent, through emergence and renewal, into wildness, pleasure and integration.

From the east coast to the wilder western shores we atune with ancient energy nodes. Each stop becomes a living altar where we meditate, move, drum and purify honouring facets of the goddess reflected within.

THE JOURNEY IN DEPTH:

Alexia Berta

Alexia Berta is a sacred gridworker, and ceremonialist integrating energetics, yoga, sound, dance, and place‑based ritual to facilitate direct, personal experiences of the divine and to help raise human and planetary frequency. She leads transformative retreats and pilgrimages across the Earth’s energetic vortexes and ancient sites, weaving mysticism with the living intelligence of nature to activate collective remembrance.

Cypriot through her paternal lineage and living on the island, Alexia’s work in Cyprus emerges from a deep and enduring relationship with the land, its ancient civilisations, nature, myths, rituals and the many layers of memory held within it.

The island is her teacher, a threshold and a living archive, one that continues to reveal itself through its stories, ruins, elements and people. She follows the traces left behind, symbols, myths, ritual fragments and forgotten connections, to uncover new pathways into meaning, belonging and remembrance. At the centre of this exploration is the living presence of Aphrodite as a contemporary field of transformation. Her work is energetic, intuitive yet grounded, combining pilgrimage, investigation, embodiment and remembrance.

Alexia’s wisdom circles and retreats focus on a return to slowing down, feeling deeply and remaining open to what is emerging. The intention is to experience the sacred as part of everyday life, as a living practice woven through the body, relationships, choices and daily rituals. Through this process, Cyprus becomes a place of encounter with the Goddess, with ancestral memory, with the living world and with the deeper parts of oneself.
